The Founder

I'm Allie Barron, and I'm the founder of this bakery! I'm 14 years old, and I grew up and live in Negaunee, Michigan. My love for baking started really young, baking cookies with my mom and siblings and fighting over who gets to lick the mixing spoon. As I got older, I began to bake on my own, trying different recipes like brownies, mini cakes, and even macarons. I especially got interested in learning about how all the different ingredients work together to make a delicious dessert. I researched everything: I learned about how different flour result in different textures, how different mixing methods can make totally different desserts, what type of sugar works the best in cookies, cakes, etc., and anything else you can think of. I used this knowledge to perfect my desserts, resulting in the completely original recipes you can order here!

Starting some sort of baking business has been a dream of mine every since I was that little girl eating spoonfuls of raw cookie dough, but it never really felt possible until I considered an online bakery. I did hours of research on cottage food laws, built my website, figured out pricing, and even interviewed the founder of another local bakery. I made a plan of everything I needed to do. After so much work, launching my website and starting to sell felt like such a huge accomplishment.

Outside of baking, I love to read, write, play the violin, and listen to true crime! I live with my mom and dad, my older brother, and my younger sister. My family has always been so supportive and helpful with this bakery, and I'm so grateful for them.
